Alex Schroder is a mom, Kindergarten teacher and lover of Jesus. Living with her husband, two kids and exuberant golden-doodle, she feels grateful to raise her family in the same, special small-town in Pennsylvania, in which she grew up. In addition to experiencing wonder, joy and curiosity through the eyes of the little humans in her life, Alex loves running, traveling with her family, and good conversations with friends over coffee. This is her first book.

Amy is married to her best friend, Dr. Andrew Winner, and they have two amazing children, Aila and Archie. They have also recently welcomed a new addition to their family: the cutest puppy, Oscar! Amy has been an elementary educator for almost two decades. She is deeply involved in her local arts community, often sharing the stage with her children. She’s also a fan of all things Disney!
It all started on an inner tube.
Five years ago, we were sitting on a couple of inner tubes in our family's pool and talking about everything from highlights of The Bachelor (our shared guilty pleasure!) to what was going on in our lives and what God was teaching us. We were with our nieces and nephews and we started talking about our mutual love of writing, the Fruit of the Spirit, and what physical fruit we would envision each of the Fruit of the Spirit being. It was here that the idea for this devotional was born.
Since then, we have plugged away slowly but surely, some months writing a lot, while other months the shared Google doc collected some dust. Our lives also went through many changes and our families evolved.
Through it all God's faithfulness has been evident and He has revealed more about His character, through teaching us about His love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. It has been a gift and honor to learn more about Him through this time spent with Him.
We are so excited for "Cute Fruit" to be converted from a Google Doc to an actual devotional that you can hold with your hands (eek!!) Our prayer is that that it will bring families closer together, but even more so, closer to God, the giver of all good fruits.
