Bubbles, Bath time, and Bible Verses

I recently saw @anniefdowns post sharing the idea of laminating scripture passages so that shower time, something you do every day, could be used as a time to memorize scripture and let it soak into your brain.
That really struck me… especially adjusting to back to school mode I find that my time alone is very rare, and quiet time is often found in between fetching snacks, refilling cups and bottles and all the things… but what a genius idea to find things that I already do and use them as a time to meditate on what is honorable and true and beautiful.
Which got me thinking- how can I model this with my own kids?! I would love to do this more with them, but unfortunately I often view bath time (and other daily tasks) as something to check off my list rather than an invitation and intentional opportunity for a gospel moment. What a mindset shift that challenges me in so many areas.
To start, I laminated my favorite passage that always encourages me and that I would love to know better by heart, and some sweet, simple verses to practice with the kids at teeth brushing, hand washing, or bath time. I’m excited to give it a try this week and am so thankful to @anniefdowns for the inspiration!
I hope this Wonder-filled Wednesday activity encourages you as much as it did me and pray that His truths would soak into you even in, or especially in, the midst of the mundane. 🩵
