Peace in the Little Things

Every morning, I send my kids off into the world — one climbing onto the school bus, the other walking into school — and every morning, they remind me of God’s peace in the sweetest way.
My son flashes me “heart hands” as the bus drives away. My daughter makes half a heart with her hand, waiting for me to finish the other half before she heads inside. Those tiny gestures say I love you. I’m okay. We’re connected.
And in those moments, I feel the peace that Philippians 4:6–7 promises — the peace that guards our hearts when we trust that God is with them (and with us) always.
✨ Wonder-Filled Activity Ideas:
1️⃣ Create a Secret Signal — a hand sign, phrase, or gesture that’s unique to your family. It’s a simple reminder that you’re connected by love and God’s presence, even when you’re apart.
2️⃣ Pocket Prayer Note — tuck a small note or Bible verse into your child’s backpack or lunchbox. It can be as simple as “God is with you!” or “You are loved beyond measure.” These tiny faith reminders can bring peace throughout their day. ✉️💛
This week, let’s look for those small, sacred moments of peace — in our goodbyes, our routines, and our reminders that God’s love goes with us wherever we go. 💛
